Maureen McNamara is the director of the Duxbury K-6 Extended Day Programs. Maureen McNamara has been with the Duxbury Extended Day Programs for fifteen years.  Her degrees include a bachelor's degree in early education with a K-3 teacher certification from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a masters degree in moderate special needs with a  N-9 teacher certification from Lesley College, and a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership from Bridgewater State College.  Prior to her years in Duxbury, she owned and operated her own daycare center servicing families with children 4 weeks through 5 years in Falmouth, MA.  She was also an adjunct professor at Quincy College teaching a variety of early education courses, and a tutor at the Bridgwater State College reading and writing centers where she developed several pilot programs to help students achieve their academic goals.  Maureen lives on Cape Cod with her husband  and four children.  Her passions include traveling, boating, swimming, hiking, gardening, reading, writing, music, and her two dogs, Sampson and June.
 
 
  
Karen Chase is a teacher with the Chandler Breakfast and JR Club Extended Day Programs.Karen Chase has been a teacher with the Extended Day Program for twenty six years.  She was a KED teacher for twenty three of those years and is currently a teacher in the Chandler JR Club Program. She has a degree in early childhood education and child development from Fisher College.  She has worked with children from infancy to 6th grade during her years with Duxbury Community Education.  She was particularly well known in the community for her annual KED  productions, "Santa's Workshop" and "In the Deep Blue Sea."   Karen enjoys extended family time, exercising and the beach.  She is also a loyal Patriot's fan.
      
 
Judith Desrosiers is a teacher with the Alden/DMS Extended Day Program.Judith Desrosiers was a teacher with the Chandler JR Club Extended Day Program for twelve years, and a mentor teacher since 2005.  She is currently a teacher in the Alden/DMS Club program.  She has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Bridgewater State College.  She has thirty five years of teaching experience in both private and public schools, and she has home schooled all four of her children.  She has also been a teacher with the Before and After Dark Summer Program for six years.  Judith lives in Plymouth with her family.  She enjoys crafting, reading, gardening, cooking, playing whist with friends and exercising at the gym.
 
  
Stephanie is a teacher with the Chandler JR and Breakfast Club Extended Day Programs.Stephanie Warner has been a teacher with the Chandler Extended Day Program for thirteen years.  She began as a JR Club teacher in her first year and went on to become a teacher in the KED (Kindergarten Extended Day) Program for nine years.  She is currently a mentor teacher in the Alden/DMS Club program.  She has a bachelor's degree in human development and psychology from University of Massachusetts and a masters in rehabilitation counseling from Assumption College. She has also taken numerous courses and workshops in  child care and development and is a K-12 certified teacher.  Before becoming a teacher, she was a rehabilitation counselor at Cape Cod Hospital and managed two nursing homes.  Stephanie is married and a mother of three.  Her personal interests include traveling, cooking, gardening, walking, swimming and reading, and especially spending time with her four grandchildren.
 
 
Alisa Wood is a teacher with the Chandler Breakfast and JR Club Extended Day Programs. Alisa Wood has been a teacher with the Chandler Extended Day Program for thirteen years.   For ten years, she was with the KED (Kindergarten Extended Day) Program. She is currently a Junior Club mentor teacher. Alisa has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Keene State College.  She is an accredited Montessori teacher and has taken several additional courses in education through Fisher College, Wheelock College and Bridgewater State University.  She has also been a teacher with the Before and After Dark summer program for five years.   Alisa lives in Plymouth with her family, including a son and daughter who are both in college.   She enjoys time with her family, gardening and walking with her Boston Terrier, Rocky.
 
 
Liz Parsons is the site coordinator for the Alden/DMS Club Extended Day Program. Liz Parsons has been with the Duxbury Extended Day Programs for nine years.  She spent her first three years at Chandler Extended Day as a KED and Junior Club teacher before assuming the role of Site Coordinator for the Alden/DMS Club Program.   She has a bachelor’s degree in human development with a concentration in early childhood education from Wheelock College.  She is certified to teach infants - grade 2, and has taken additional coursework in the field of educational leadership.  Before joining the Duxbury Extended Day Program, Liz was the curriculum director and lead teacher of a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool that she helped to open in Plymouth.  Liz lives in Plymouth with her husband, son Tommy, and their dog Rayna.  In her free time, she enjoys dancing, traveling, going to trivia, playing games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
 
  

Julie Happel is a teacher with the Alden/DMS Club and Chandler Breakfast Club Extended Day Programs. Julie Happel was a teacher with the Alden Extended Day Program for seven years, and is currently a Chandler Breakfast Club teacher.  She graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Simmons College in Boston.  She is a certified teacher in elementary education grades 1-6.  Before coming to the Duxbury Extended Day Program, she taught second, third, and fifth grades in Boston and Weymouth schools.  She lives in South Weymouth with her husband, two sons and her dog, Mickey.  Julie enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, and she is a loyal fan of the Patriots and Bruins.

Karina Ryan is a teacher with the Alden/DMS Club Extended Day Program. Karina Ryan has worked with the Duxbury Extended Day Programs for seven years. She spent her first year as a JR Club teacher, was an Alden/DMS Club teacher for two years, and is currently a Chandler Breakfast Club teacher.  She has a bachelor’s degree in art education from Davis & Elkins College and a master’s in education from West Virginia University.  She is certified to teach Pre K - Adult and was an art teacher in the West Virginia and Massachusetts public schools from 1995 - 2009.  She is also a certified dance instructor and teaches many art and dance classes in Duxbury’s Before and After Dark Program.  Prior to public school teaching, she attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and worked as an advertising artist.  Karina enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two sons, Adam and Eric.  She adores her beautiful one year old granddaughter, Azalea, and travels to see her whenever she can.  Her favorite activities include walking on the trails with her dog, Kadie, "sister Saturdays", music and art festivals, dancing and yoga.

Jennie Sjostedt is an a teacher with the Chandler Breakfast Club and Alden/DMS Club Extended Day Programs. Jennie Sjostedt has worked as a high school aide and assistant teacher for six years with both the Chandler and Alden/DMS Extended Day programs.  She is currently working as an asociate teacher in the JR Club program while she works towards her bachelor's degree in early education.  She has her associates degree in early childhood education from Dean College.  She has taught CCD for two years and has been a summer camp counselor and daycare worker at Kingsbury Club in Kingston.  She also spent two years working with preschool children in the Dean College Children's Center.  In her spare time, Jennie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and the beach.

 
 Diane Kane is an assistant teacher with the Breakfast Club program. Diane Kane is a second year teacher with the Chandler Breakfast and JR Club programs.  She has an associate's degree in early education from Quincy College.  Diane has over eight years of experience with out of school time programs, including site coordinator for both the Marshfield YMCA and Marshfield Recreation Department after school programs, program developer and site coordinator for the Marshfield Simply Art and Summer Theater Camps, and as a special education support staff for the Pilgrim Area Collaborative in Pembroke.  She is also ABA certified.  In her spare time, Diane enjoys family Sunday dinners, reading, and spending time at the beach.
 
Pam Campbell is a second year assistant teacher with the Chandler Breakfast Club program this year. Pam has five years experience as a pre-school assistant teacher at St. Francis Xavier School. She has also volunteered for several years in organizations such as the Girl Scouts and religious education programs. Pam lives in Norwell with her husband and two children.
